Vintage Thunderbird Mosaic Ring (c. 1965–1972)

A mid-century Zuni-made mosaic ring, crafted between 1965 and 1972, featuring a vivid thunderbird design. The Thunderbird is a symbol of protection, strength, and divine connection.

Hand-cut turquoise and Mediterranean coral are set in fine sterling silver, arranged in a traditional chip inlay technique that flourished among Zuni artisans during the late 1960s. The turquoise symbolizes sky and spirit, while coral anchors warmth and life force. Together they create a talisman of balance between earth and air.
